Students take over Gurtners restaurant

Young talents in the hospitality industry

In the class gastro program, students from selected schools in the area cook and serve a four-course meal at Restaurant Gurtners. With the support of the restaurant's vocational trainers, the young people take on responsibility for one evening. The menu is prepared by the next generation, and the evening service is also carried out by the class.

The aim of the project is to give young people a closer look at training programs for restaurant specialists and chefs as they consider their career options. The young people are given the opportunity to learn about the diverse range of careers in the restaurant industry in a practical setting.

Class gastro was launched by GastroBern.

Price	4-course menu: CHF 65 Offer does not include Gurten funicular ticket

2 p.m.	Students arrive at Restaurant Gurtners Welcome and introduction to the world of gastronomy and Gurten Division into kitchen and service groups
From 2:30 p.m.	Supervised work (preparations)
5 p.m.	Lunch break for students
From 6:30 p.m.	Arrival of guests & evening service by the students
10 p.m.	End of evening service by the students
