Welcome to the Gurten – Park im Grünen

Due to the theatre performance, the Gurten Tower closes daily at 7 pm. It is therefore not possible to view the eclipse from the tower. At the time of the solar eclipse, the Sun will be approximately 3–4 per cent above the horizon. Our experts at Astro Events consider the chances of viewing the eclipse from the Ostsignal to be low, but possible.

We have some good news: From September 5 through October 11, what is likely Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel will be spinning again on the Gurten. Reserve a gondola now for brunch or a cheese tour high above the ground.

Lighting fires of any kind is strictly prohibited throughout the entire premises. Due to the high risk of wildfires, all barbecue and fire pits remain closed.
