The restaurant for the family

In our family-friendly self-service restaurant, you will find a wide selection of salads, hot dishes, and delicious desserts at the various buffets for a quick and easy lunch. In addition, there are regularly changing roast dishes and two daily menus. Younger guests can help themselves to the children's buffet and choose their own children's menu. All dishes can be taken outside to the park in environmentally friendly takeaway containers.

Huusbüffe – a restaurant for all generations with a cozy interior. The various dividing walls divide the restaurant into different areas, creating a lot of cachet and a cozy atmosphere.

Playroom for children

The self-service restaurant ob Bern is a popular meeting place for families. The play area directly adjacent to the restaurant is sure to delight children. Here, children can let off steam and play together undisturbed. Parents are best advised to take a seat in the family area next to the playroom.

Spacious terraces

The two spacious terraces with a total of 260 seats attract guests outside when the weather is nice. The city terrace offers a magnificent view of the city of Bern and the Aare River, while the mountain terrace offers plenty of shaded and quiet places to sit.

In addition to the culinary delights, there is another highlight for the little ones at Huusbüffe. Chinderzytig, the restaurant's own free children's magazine, contains stories and poems, puzzles, recipes to try out at home, a drawing competition, and various nature-themed articles about Bern's local mountain. Chinderzytig is also available at the Gurtenbahn valley station, the Creaviva children's museum, and Progr, where Leporello is based.
