Boule as a group activity

Boule, also known as pétanque, is a traditional French ball game in which players try to throw their metal balls as close as possible to a small target ball, the “piglet.” The game combines skill and strategy. Boules is a social game that is popular in France both as a leisure activity and as a competitive sport, and is often enjoyed in good company with a glass of pastis.
On the Gurten, the boules court in front of the Bahnhöfli outdoor café can be used for a game of boules as a team activity. The boules team activity includes ball rental, drinks, and a small snack.
