Catering in the park

Enjoy our offer outside in the great outdoors

Bahnhöfli take-away stand

Directly opposite the miniature railway, as with almost every real station, is the “Bahnhöfli” restaurant. Six picnic tables with parasols are installed just in front of the catering stand. From the Bahnhöfli, you can keep an eye on your children as they play. The culinary offer at the dark-red take-away stand changes with the seasons. In spring and summer, grilled meat (and vegetarian alternatives) and fries are on the menu. Sweet tooths can enjoy ice cream in a cornet and other sweet treats. A range of drinks is available in PET bottles as well as fresh draft beer.

In the winter, the Bahnhöfli is also the closest port of call for a quick food break. Enjoy the winter wonderland on the mountain with a home-made mulled wine, snuggle up in the lounge with a warming soup or grill yourself a bratwurst over the fire bowls. Whether you’ve been sledding, skiing or hiking, the comforting warmth of the fire bowls make your visit that much more pleasant.

Monday to Sunday: 12 a.m.–5 p.m.*

* Only open in good weather. You can check if the Bahnhöfli take-away stand is open using the symbol in the website menu.

In July 2021, the Bahnhöfli was expanded with the Gurten shop. Visitors can buy a souvenir of their enjoyable day out, home-made specialties from Gurtners restaurant or meat from the Gurten highland. A visit to the little shop is well worth it. Drop in and take a look at the new collection.
