Birdwatching and learning from expert ornithologists

Euro Bird Watch is an annual event during which migratory birds are observed on their journey south. Nature centers and organizations across Europe invite people to take part in excursions to discover biodiversity and raise awareness of bird conservation. A highlight for nature lovers.

900 counting locations in 29 countries

Migratory birds will be counted and observations collected at over 900 locations in 29 countries on the first weekend in October. Interested parties can also take part on the Gurten near Bern. Expert ornithologists from BirdLife Bern will be on hand to provide information about the natural phenomenon of bird migration and answer questions.
