The restaurant for families

In our family-friendly self-service restaurant, the buffets contain a wide selection of salads, warm meals and delicious desserts offering you the chance to enjoy a quick and simple lunch. There are also rösti meals that change on a regular basis and two daily menus. Younger guests can serve themselves from the children’s buffet and choose their own kids’ menu. All dishes can also be enjoyed outside in the park with environmentally-friendly take-away crockery.

The Tapis Rouge – a restaurant with a cozy interior for every generation. The different partition walls divide the restaurant into different areas, creating a certain cachet and a homely atmosphere.

Play room for children
The self-service restaurant above Bern is a favorite meeting point for families. The play area directly adjacent to the restaurant makes children’s hearts beat faster. Children can play with each other and let off steam here undisturbed. Parents can take a table in the family area next to the play room.

Large terraces
The two large terraces with a total of 260 places are ideal in fine weather. The city terrace offers a magnificent view over the City of Bern and the Aare, while the mountain terrace has plenty of shady and peaceful seats.
