The Swisstour final on the local mountain
From October 17 to 19, the Bern Disc Golf Club walkabout will host the final of the Swisstour 2025 on the Gurten.
Since 1995, the 100 most ambitious disc golfers in Switzerland have been competing against each other in the annual autumn tournament. Disc golf is a growing, cross-generational outdoor sport that works in much the same way as ball golf, only with different equipment: instead of hitting balls into holes, Frisbees are thrown into baskets. During the three days of the tournament, spectators can marvel at the athletes' throws, which can reach distances of up to 120 meters.
And if you'd like to try a round of disc golf yourself, you can rent Frisbees with your family and friends at the Huusbüffe self-service restaurant after the final weekend.
